10 months ago, the plan for this holiday was born............
Starting out with purchase of 2 Scoopon vouchers -
Return airfares to Phuket with Strategic Airlines

8 nights accommodation at Dewa Phuket
www.dewaphuketresort.com
With flight changes made by Strategic Airlines (by now Air Australia), another night at the start of the holiday was required, so we are booked here for the first night

Seeing we were going to be in Thailand, well why not fly up to Bangkok for a few days to visit Kanchanaburi province? WW2 historical sites - Thai/Burma 'death' railway, 'Bridge on the River Kwai'. So, return Air Asia flights booked in February.
A week later........... Air Australia goes into liquidation!!!!
So, on hearing the news, the dilemma was - do we still go???? Having booked and paid for most of the accommodation, extra flights, there was no choice really. If we didn't go we would lose the lot. Fortunately, managed to find flights with Singapore Airlines for 'only' $500 more!!!
If we are going on this holiday, well it had better be good!!!
So, 1 night in Bangkok booked at

Trip to Kanchanaburi booked for 2 nights staying at Hintok River Camp

Back to Bangkok for 1 night to stay at what I hope to be a great quirky little boutique hotel

From here we are going to take a food tour with a visit to the flower market. Rod will be happy with all that food and there should be some great photo ops at the flower market!!
